Job Description
• Product Development - Lead the development and improvement of tile adhesives, grouts, skim coats, masonry mortars, waterproofing products and other dry-mix mortars.
• Formulation and Testing - Design and validate formulations, test product performance and ensure compliance with approved specifications and applicable standards.
• Raw Material Approval - Evaluate raw materials and suppliers, approve alternatives and maintain a Raw Material Substitution Matrix.
• Plant Trials and Commercialization - Transfer formulas from laboratory to plant scale, define trial criteria and coordinate commercial launches.
• Quality and Troubleshooting - Investigate production deviations, product failures and customer complaints; lead root-cause analysis and corrective action.
• Cost Optimization - Improve formulation and production cost without compromising required quality or application performance.
• Technical Documentation - Control formulations, specifications, trial reports, TDS, SDS, SOPs and formulation change records.
• Team Leadership - Manage R&D activities and coordinate with Production, QC, Procurement, Sales, Finance, suppliers and customers.
• Safety and Confidentiality - Maintain laboratory safety, data integrity and strict confidentiality of formulas and technical information.

Requirements
Job Requirement
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Cement Technology or a related discipline.
• At least five years of relevant experience in dry-mix mortar, construction chemicals, cement-based products or building materials.
• At least two years of experience leading technical projects or supervising an R&D, laboratory or quality team.
• Experience in formulation, laboratory testing, plant trials, troubleshooting, cost optimization and commercialization.
• Strong knowledge of cement, graded sand, fillers, polymers and chemical additives used in dry-mix mortar.
• Working proficiency in written and spoken English, with good leadership, analytical and reporting skills.
